Hello Sharvel1985,

I understand that you did not back up your photos on your old iPhone, and unfortunately, you have now lost it. You're wondering if there is any way to retrieve your lost photos. I'm here to assist you.

If you did not back up your photos and have lost your old iPhone, it can be challenging to recover those specific photos. However, here are a few options you can explore:

1. Check iCloud Photo Library: If you had enabled iCloud Photo Library on your old iPhone and had it set to sync your photos, there is a possibility that your photos are still accessible through iCloud. Visit the iCloud website (www.icloud.com) on a computer or another device, sign in with your Apple ID, and check if your photos are available there.

2. Look for iTunes or Finder backups: If you had previously synced your iPhone with iTunes on a computer (Mac) or Finder (on a Mac with macOS Catalina or later), there might be a backup of your device that includes your photos. Connect your new iPhone to the computer you used for syncing, open iTunes or Finder, and check if you have any backups available. If you find a backup that predates the loss of your old iPhone, you can restore that backup to your new device to retrieve your photos.

3. Check other devices or storage locations: If you had synced your photos with other devices or transferred them to a computer or external storage, check those devices or storage locations to see if your photos are available there.

4. Contact Apple Support: If none of the above options work, I recommend reaching out to Apple Support directly. They may have additional suggestions or options to help you recover your lost photos. They can provide guidance based on your specific situation and the available resources.

It's important to regularly back up your iPhone to prevent data loss in the future. Using iCloud or iTunes/Finder backups ensures that your photos and other important data are securely stored.

I hope one of these options helps you in recovering your lost photos. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please let me know.

Best regards,

Lugab

Retrieving Lost Photos:

Loss of data is something you would have agreed to upon opening an Apple Account. So, if the following does not work, then they are gone. That's just the way it is :(

Four Tactics to Try:

A. Start here: If you're Missing Photos or Videos in the Photos app - Apple Support

B. Check iCloud, Directly:

For Photos: Go here, and see if they reside in iCloudhttps://www.icloud.com/photos

C. Restore your iPhone from a Backup:

Have any backups of this iPhone prior to this occurrence? If so, restore your iPhone from one that has these photos (the most recent backup, ideally). If not, then take this as a learning experience, knowing to always back up your device for recovery purposes. Important: Back up you iPhone prior to performing this restoration, should anything go wrong from here on out.

D. Where Else to Check:

  1. PC
  2. PDA
  3. eMail
  4. Mac Device
  5. Cloud Storage
  6. Android Phone
  7. USB Flash Drive
  8. External Hard drive
  9. Secure Digital Card
  10. Compact Flash Card
