Had this issue last night 8/26/23! Enabled voiceover to read a page for me and could not get out of the app! Powered down my phone in an effort to get out of the app, and that brought me up on the lockcode screen, where i could not input my passcode!
Contacted support, they asked me if I tried Hey Siri, turn off Voiceover. That is when i discovered that Voiceover app disabled Siri, Siri did not respond to my voice.
All Apple Support could do for me was to reset my phone.
It wanted me to input my code which I did several times and it kept saying i was entering the wrong code, trying to lock me out of my phone and force me to reset my IPhone.
I was not entering the wrong code!!!!
The voiceover app was inputting the incorrect code!!!!
After I slept on it not touching my phone again until I woke up. I then tried to input my code again and noticed that the app was staying on only 1 number and that was the code it was entering, and it was wrong, it was not what I was trying to enter. So i got the lock security for 5 minute time out, went and made coffee and came back in 5 minutes, cleaned my screen with a Lens Wipe and was then able to input the correct code!!
I pray this helps someone else not have to reset their device!
