I neeed help with my Apple ID

It said in order to message people or face time I have to change my Apple ID so I did not I can’t it’s not letting me and I’m trying to get in contact with my parent

Facetime not available on an iPad that seems to have a locked Account I am trying to help my parents remotely with a locked Apple Account. They have an iPad mini 4 that has an Apple account that is part of my Family Sharing that I am an Organizer for. I can still see his account there. However, I cannot make any FaceTime calls to his iPad. The iPad was purchased in the United States, the account was created in the United States as well but the iPad is mainly used in India. When I tried to log into his Apple Account today to see what is going on, I get the message "Account is Locked and cannot be used". It won't even let me set a new password. When my parents try to go to settings and use the Apple Account, the message they get is "Verification Failed: This Apple Account is not Active" So, we are stuck with not able to log into a previously working Apple Account in an iPad and can't seem to find a way to unlock/reset password on that account, either. Is the iPad still usable for FaceTime? Do I request an account unlock somewhere or do I ask my parents to create a New Apple ID from FaceTime app and try again?

Used iPad mini i just got used ipad mini 5 and facing some strange problems 1st i can't update the ios throw the settings i get error 2nd i get error if i opened apple cacre and warranty tap i get error while activating facetime and imessage i can't locate its account on family settings can't control its screen time on family settings ,,, i have another family member with ipad 8 and i don't face all these problems with it

This is not live chat. You post a question and when somebody thinks they can help you, they post when they can.

You do not need to change your Apple ID in order to use Facetime.

On an Apple mobile device go to:

Settings > Facetime

Settings > iMessage

and turn on.
