Microphone stopped working or even being recognized

The microphone on my late 2014 Mac mini stopped working and being recognized by Mac mini. Was working fine then just stopped working and became recognized by the Mac mini. I did mess around with the ports at one point don’t know if that had anything to do with it. I have also tried deleting some background processes or daemons. I’ve tried resetting with sudo and turning off SIP. But no luck, any ideas would be greatly appreciated thank you
