It sounds like you're experiencing issues with hearing during phone calls on your device. There are a few potential reasons for this problem. Here's a step-by-step troubleshooting guide to help you address the issue:

  1. Check Volume Settings:
  2. Make sure that the volume on your phone is turned up. During a call, you can adjust the call volume using the physical volume buttons on the side of your device. Also, check if your phone is not in "Do Not Disturb" mode, as this could potentially affect call audio.
  3. Clean the Earpiece:
  4. Dust, debris, or dirt in the earpiece can block the sound and affect audio quality. Use a soft, dry cloth or compressed air to gently clean the earpiece area. You may clean it with the help of fix my speakers.
  5. Restart Your Device:
  6. Sometimes, a simple restart can help resolve software glitches that might be affecting audio. Restart your phone and see if the issue persists.
  7. Check for Software Updates:
  8. Make sure your device's operating system and any relevant apps are up to date. Software updates often include bug fixes and improvements that can help resolve issues like this.
  9. Test with Different Apps:
  10. Try making calls using different communication apps (e.g., regular phone call, video call through a messaging app). This can help determine if the issue is specific to a particular app or a broader problem.
  11. Check for Bluetooth or Wired Accessories:
  12. If you have Bluetooth headphones or a headset connected, or if you're using wired headphones with a microphone, they might be interfering with the audio. Disconnect any accessories and see if the issue persists.
  13. Check Network Signal:
  14. Poor network signal or data connection can sometimes affect call quality. Ensure that you have a strong signal or try connecting to a different network.
  15. Test in Safe Mode:
  16. Boot your phone into safe mode (if your device supports it). This disables third-party apps temporarily, helping you determine if a third-party app is causing the issue.
  17. Factory Reset (as a Last Resort):
  18. If none of the above steps help, you might consider performing a factory reset on your device. However, remember that this will erase all data on your device, so make sure to back up your important information before proceeding.
