Lately my phone gets hot under my pillow at night. What's different?

I would fully expect your iPhone to get hot under a pillow. It has absolutely no way to cool off. Nothing is different. One should NOT place one's iPhone in a place, where it can't breath, which is exactly what you're doing putting under your pillow.
