Purchased a new IPad Pro from Fred Meyer. It apparently had been through the setup phase, because the screen that came up asked for a 4 digit passcode to be entered. How do I get it back to the original setup page?

How can I get to the setup menu for a supposedly new IPAD which asks for a passcode when I turn it on.?

If the iPad has already been setup with a Passcode, it must be returned to the retailer for exchange or refund. As is, the iPad is (and will remain) useless to you.

As described, the iPad will be associated with someone else’s AppleID account. You’ll neither be able to reset/clear the existing Passcode, nor will you be able to resolve the Activation Lock that will inhibit all use of the iPad by anyone other than the person that previously set-up the iPad.
