iPad Pro M2 Safari homepage

I just sold my Mac 2020 M 1 purchased a new IPad pro M2 having some issues setting with Safari .

it won’t seems to read the same way when I open it seems to use tabs much differently. I am running the latest iPad os and Safari updates.

is there a way for Safari to open just a homepage the same page all the time ?

Since I am purchasing ( ordered not received)a Magic Keyboard for this iPad Pro , when I open safari with this keyboard will it behave more like the Mac Air did with respect to opening and closing of websites /tabs and bookmarks or will it react the same way as it does now ?

Hi daryl1965,

An iPad does use the iPadOS, as opposed to the macOS, which Macs will use, so there will be differences between the two devices and operating system.

However, you can set a start page for Safari to open when selecting a new tab:

Customize your Safari settings on iPad - Apple Support

We'd advise to also browse the iPad User Guide for additional information for using Safari on your iPad. Start with this page:

Browse the web using Safari on iPad - Apple Support

You can also download the User Guide to the Books app, so it's handy:

Take care!
