Hi Foots84

Re: "If you forget your recovery key"

Wondering if you have forgotten the recovery key, and may be able to find the recovery key:

Eg: How to generate a recovery key - Apple Support

says:

"it's important to keep your recovery key in a safe place. You might want

to give a copy of your recovery key to a family member, or keep copies

in more than one place. That way you always have your recovery key when

you need it."

If you still have access to your device, you may be able to turn off the forgotten Recovery Key:

The info. below is also from Apple Support's article:

How to generate a recovery key - Apple Support

On your iPhone, see if you can click "Turn Off" in the Recovery Key section.

On your iPhone,

    1. Go to Settings > [your name] > Password & Security. You might need to enter your Apple ID password.
    2. Tap Recovery Key.
    3. Slide to turn off Recovery Key.

(You may need to enter your iPhone's passcode)

Do you have to generate a new recovery ke… - Apple Community

Eg: SravanKrA says:

"If you lost your Recovery Key

As long as you remember your Apple ID password and still have access to one of your trusted devices, you can sign in and create a new Recovery Key.

  1. Go to your Apple ID account page.
  2. Sign in with your password and trusted device.
  3. In the Security section, click Edit > Replace Lost Key.

Keep your new Recovery Key in a safe place. Your old Recovery Key won't work anymore and you can't use it to reset your password or access your account."

All the best :-)
