No internet connection after a day or two.

Running 12.6.6, Late 2015 27" iMac

I have this problem where I can no longer connect to the internet (Xfinity Nighthawk modem) after about two -three days of light use, coming out of sleep in the mornings. Im hooked via ethernet directly to modem/router. (Wifi is turned off.) I get "You Are Not Connected to the Internet".

The only way to fix is to restart the mac, which takes 3-4 minutes as the stuff loads like time-waster Adobe CC.

Internet works on all other devices. Control Panel >Network shows green Ethernet connected.

Why does it stop after time?

Hi illstudio,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

With your Mac not connecting to the internet, make sure you're running the latest available software for the most recent performance fixes. Remove any security software and enabled VPN. These can change the way your Mac connects. Also, check that you have the recommended network settings in place for optimal security and performance.
