Can't open .dng images.

I'm not sure if I chose the right topic and device because it's on both my Macs, Ventura, and Monterey. Look at the screenshot of the .dng to understand. If it matters, this picture was taken on a Samsung phone and looks good on the phone. Maybe I can convert it to something that works better?

I have not needed to resort to any older .dng version but AFAIR some user’s device recently needed that. A few weeks ago I tested those images and by trial and error I had to go several .dng versions back before those sample clips worked. …which version did you use?

I have really only briefly used Adobe DNG converter while waiting for macOS Canon .cr3 support. I then archived my original .cr3 images because converted .dng might not have all original metadata, but in the end that might have been overkill.
