Outlook (for Mac) Emails, Autofill Suggestions and Contacts
For a long time I have been using the legacy version of Microsoft Outlook 2021 for my emails. A month ago, the legacy version started to go wrong, whereby emails were disappearing and reappearing. Microsoft is aware of this, saying it is a bug, then directs users to try the New Outlook, which I am doing. But there is a problem I am encountering, which is when I am writing an email and type in a letter of the recipient's email address, no drop down autofill/suggestions menu appears, meaning I have no choice but to manually type in the recipient's address. I had no such problem with the legacy version of Outlook. I imported my contacts/calendar info into the New Outlook from legacy outlook, I have gone into my Mac computer's Security/Contacts section and ticked the box to allow the sharing of my Apple Contacts with Outlook, all to no avail. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2021 twice, yet the problem I have described still exists. I have also started my Mac in safe mode, then fired up Outlook, but the app immediately quits.
If anyone reading this has encountered a similar problem with the New Outlook, and has managed to fix it, I'd be grateful if you would tell me how you did this.
Thanks for reading this.
Yours in despair,
Doug.
