Am I getting the billing discount for being a nurse?

Apple does not appear to have any discounts for Medical professionals.

Apple offers discounts for students and for Military and government personnel for different things.

If you are a military nurse, you can access the military store for discounts on hardware products, but there are no discounts for any Apple subscriptions.

Well, sales reps do tend to exaggerate things at times.

Ask the rep to provide written details. That will slow them down.

Then, ask him to provide the discount that he offered to you. If you are not yet ready to buy, ask him to provide you with a written guarantee that you can use later.

Other stores may provide a discount as well.

You might want to confirm though that the "discount" is for a new product, not a "refurbished" product.

Apple is not involved in any way with this. They can't control what Sam's may or may not do.
