iPod mini Headphone jack not working

On a second iPod mini that I have, the iPod headphone jack is not working. The headphones work because I tried them on another iPod. When connected to this iPod no sound comes out. I am able to play the music via iTunes off the iPod. Also, there is no longer any voltages coming out of the serial port right next to the headphone jack. This leaves me to believe that the module is inoperational. Anyone know of what I can do to resolve this issue.
