Since downloading iOS 16.5 my iPhone 12 battery doesn't seem to last.

Since downloading ios 16.5 my iphone 12 battery doesn't seem to last. Had a technician look at it today and it isn't the battery. I am sure this is a software update issue. Does anyone know if apple is preparing a repair for this issue. Never had any issues until now. All notifications, apps not required have been shut off. Nothing seems to help.
