“Change your wallpaper from the Lock Screen” is there a way to turn this off? I keep on ending up in wallpaper selection mode without meaning to.

This happens to me just getting my phone out of my pocket. One thing I found that helps somewhat is to turn off "Raise to Wake" under the Display & Brightness settings. This way you have to intentionally use the power button, so you don't fat-finger the lock screen when you didn't want it to be on.
