How to verify if AirPods are genuine?

I bought Airpod Pros 2nd Generation from someone on Ebay for 196 dollars. It came with no box, and I haven't unwrapped it yet. Im skeptical because of such the low price, as well as the fact that the seller claims it is in brand new, unused quality, it even came wrapped. So, I want to verify that it is genuine.

Click on this link to learn how to find the serial number of your AirPods --> Find the serial number of your AirPods - Apple Support

Enter the serial number in this link --> Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support - Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support

Does it find them? If yes then at least the serial number is real, but fake copies can have real serial numbers that will, of course, be reported as valid. If you take them to Apple they can tell the difference. The bottom line is the only real way to be sure Airpods are not fake is to only buy them from Apple or an Apple Authorized retailer. --> Find Locations

If you open the case, in front of where the AirPods sit, there is a slim crack near the edge. Attempt to dig your fingernail in to this crack. If you can pull the outside away from the rest of the case, your AirPods are fake. Apple uses too much glue for this to be possible on real ones(I have only checked this with my AirPods Pro 2)
