Hi Everywhere I look I see Apple documentation saying that the "Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter" can copy pictures / videos from USB to IPAD (Photos app), but I want to export from the IPAD to a USB large files. Has anyone tried this with the Genuine Apple product and can confirm that it works please, before I buy one.

Hi Drew, I do want to connect external drives to my iPad, and thank you for the link, but i want to copy files FROM my iPad to the external drive and the link offers a way to read from the External drive on the IPAD.. so is there a capability to effectively copy files FROM the IPAD TO the External Storage using this adapter ?
