How do I do block bluetooth pairing requests from unknown sources?

My iPad keeps getting pairing requests from some device called Approach S42. We do not have any device with such a type number. Since I don't know where the request comes from I can't connect it to anything else.

Another source for pairing requests is the Macbook of the keyboardist in my band. He doesn't seem to know how to make it not do that.

Any options?

A while later...

It appears the pairing requests are triggered by a specific app on my iPad. Open that app and the request from the keyboardist in my band's mac pops up. I haven't found any other that do this yet. I know the dev of that app. Does anyone know if there's anything he can do to stop this?

It stops when the keyboardist turns off the bluetooth on his mac, of course. I can't turn it off because it's in use for my bluetooth midi adapter.

Annoying is that it pops up and you have to actively disallow the pairing before you can go forward in the app.

I still think we should be able to blacklist certain bluetooth connections if we know we never want to connect.

Per chance does someone nearby have a Garmin Approach S42 Golf watch? That is what appears to be trying to pair with your iPad. As long as you have Bluetooth enabled on your iPad, you cannot block Bluetooth devices from being "seen" by your iPad.
