Callers hear echo when I use bluetooth headphones

People I'm speaking with on the phone while using my bluetooth headphones have been saying that they can hear their own voice echoing while they're speaking with me. I have a fully updated iPhone 11 and Sony bluetooth headphones. This problem started recently, and doesn't occur when I'm using my phone without headphones, or when I'm using my headphones with a different device. I have reset the settings on both my phone and my headphones with no luck. Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi mjheeg_,

It appears you've completed some good isolation of the behavior so far. Another great step will be to test other Bluetooth headphones with your iPhone to see if this occurs with all Bluetooth connections or only the pair in question.

As far as steps you can try, you may check out If the sound from your wireless headphones cuts out or is distorted to see if it's possible that interference is contributing or causing the issue. Otherwise it may be necessary to contact the manufacturer of the headphones to verify compatibility and see if they can offer further resolution if only occurring with their product.

Regards.
