Why am I not able to turn off Wi-Fi Wi-Fi assist? I know that it looks by default, but it’s eating my data up and I’d like to turn it off. It’s grayed out and will not allow me to.

Again, why am I not able to turn off Wi-Fi assist on my phone? I know that it loads by default, but it’s been eating up loads of data that I’d rather keep. It’s grayed out and will not allow me to turn it off. No matter what I do. I’ve already reset-no luck

If you have a VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection active on your iPhone, it can interfere with the functioning of Wi-Fi Assist. In this case, you may need to disable the VPN or adjust its settings to allow for Wi-Fi Assist.
Some cellular network providers or administrators may have restrictions in place that prevent users from enabling Wi-Fi Assist. If you're using a device issued by your organization or have specific network settings configured, it's possible that these restrictions are preventing you from toggling on Wi-Fi Assist.
1. Is this your corporate iPhone? Then please contact the system administrator of your corporate
2. If it is your personal device, in that case, do you have any profile installed by your corporate/organisation/enterprise/School Management?
3. Erase the profile added by you If you have installed a profile on your own --> Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone - Apple ...
4. Or please contact the system administrator of the organisation who provided the profile to you
