why is thier not a dvd slot on mac studio ulta m2

why did not apple put a slot for cds and DVD on the Mac studio ultra M2 2 TB computer

Apple got rid of built-in optical drives long ago. In 2008 for MacBook Airs, and 2012 for iMacs and MacBook Pros. The surprise would be if, after so long, Apple decided to bring the drives back.

There are external USB optical drives, from Apple and others.

For the same reason there is no cassette player on the Sound System in your new car, and you can't buy a DVD audio player and choose from dozens of models any more.

CDs and DVDs are getting old, and information via download is eating its lunch.

Mr.Grant Bennet-Alder It has been awhile,still have my Mac Pro Mid 2010. Saw the new Mac Studio Ultra M2 2 tb

and want to after all the years, ready to make a change. I realize I could get external drive as I have many movies and documatentries and photos on many of my CD and DVDs, I saved to free up space on my HD, to be able to upload into the New Mac Studio.
