My Apple Watch keeps stating that my messages ( preprogrammed messages) are not being delivered. It’s ok on my iPhone but not on my watch.

Why won’t my Apple Watch send messages? Even the preprogrammed messages like Yes /No are not being delivered.

Hello GLM55,

If you're experiencing an issue sending messages on your Apple Watch, you may have a connection issue. The companion article to the one you referenced is, If you can’t send or receive messages on your Apple Watch. We noted the additional steps below, but the full article has more detail. We encourage you to review it with questions.

  1. Check Control Center to see if Airplane Mode is enabled.
  2. Check your connection to make sure that your Apple Watch can connect to your iPhone, cellular, or Wi-Fi.
  3.  Make sure that you signed in from the Watch app on your iPhone. Tap the My Watch tab > General > Apple ID to check.
  4. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Messages and make sure that iMessage is turned on. Then tap Send & Receive and make sure that you're using the same Apple ID that your Apple Watch is using.
  5. Sign out of iMessage
  6. Tap Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
  7. Then tap Settings > Messages. Turn iMessage off, then turn it back on
  8. Sign in to iMessage again
  9. Tap Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Use your Apple ID for iMessage, then sign in.
  10. Restart your Apple Watch and iPhone
  11. Check for updates

If you're still unable to send messages from your Apple Watch after following these settings, a few more details may help us offer additional guidance.

• Does it only fail with SMS message, or are iMessages impacted as well?

• Is your iPhone nearby when the messages fail?

• Does it occur with all contacts, in all locations?

Regards.
