Hello StasyS162,

If you're experiencing an issue with a note or notes in the Notes app on your iPhone, and you're not able to delete the note on your device, you may be able to delete it on the iCloud website.

Log in and see if you're able to manage your Notes content there. Then restart your iPhone and let it sync with iCloud. Notes that are deleted on the iCloud website should also delete from your devices.

Delete a note
1. In Notes on iCloud.com, select the note you want to delete.
2. Click the Delete button in the Notes toolbar.
3. When you delete a note, it’s moved to the Recently Deleted folder on iCloud.com and on your devices that are signed in with the same Apple ID. You can view and recover notes in the Recently Deleted folder for up to 30 days before they’re permanently removed from all your devices. If you want to edit notes in the Recently Deleted folder, you must first recover them.

If you need to permanently delete notes, make sure you remove them from Recently Deleted. Otherwise, they'll stick around for up to 30 days.

StasyS162,

Thanks for the additional information regarding your Notes app issue.

If you delete a note from the Notes app, they are still recoverable for up to 30 days after deletion. If you wish, you can permanently delete the note. This would free up the space of the Notes app.

Permanently remove deleted notes
You can immediately and permanently remove notes you deleted in the last 30 days on iCloud.com or on your devices that are signed in with the same Apple ID.
1. In Notes on iCloud.com, select Recently Deleted in the folder list on the left.
2. If you don’t see Recently Deleted, you don’t have any recently deleted notes.
3. Select a note you want to permanently remove, then click the Delete button in the Notes toolbar.
4. The selected note is removed immediately from all your devices.
Notes you leave in the Recently Deleted folder are automatically and permanently removed after 30 days.

This info can be located in this support article: Delete and recover notes on iCloud.com - Apple Support

Cheers!

Hey StasyS162,

We’re still not quite understanding the issue you’re facing. Are you trying to delete a note in the Notes app? Are you trying to delete a note that’s had 500 MS Word documents copied into it or just links to the MS Word documents?

Are you following the steps under “Delete a note” in this article: Use Notes on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

If you can provide a bit more specific information, this can help guide us to resolving this issue with you.

We look forward to your reply.

All the best.

English is not my mother tongue 🤷🏼‍♀️

So every document or book has pages, right? I copied a tale from the internet, it’s pretty big. About 500 pages. So you can imagine that the note is also big and heavy. Probably at least 0,5 GB.

After I deleted it COMPLETELY ( don’t get me wrong but I’m only 28, I know how to delete things) the weigh of the app hasn’t changed a bit…

Also I remember deleting half of the notes with stories like that (it was like 30+ notes) and the weigh of the app also hasn’t changed.
