Facebook icon dots when receiving a message in Messenger.

So I’m getting the red Facebook notification dots on the Facebook icon when I receive a message in Messenger as I do on the Messenger icon. When I read the message it disappears. How do I fix this?

facebook notification dots None of the internal notifications work inside the Facebook iPad app. I've deleted, reloaded, reset the iPad, etc. Nothing works. I don't receive any notifications on the FB App from Messenger, and I don't receive any notices in the app for FB notifications. I can get general notifications externally (red dots on the app icon), but nothing when working inside the app. Also, all of the links sent to me inside messenger are dead. I can log in on my iPhone or in Safari, and everything's fine. It's just through the iPad that I'm having this problem. I'd love to talk to Meta about this, but they don't provide live support, or answer messages. Help?

Messenger previews not showing even when the setting is on How come my messenger notification only notifies me with 'sent a message.' instead of showing me the message previews on the notification bar etc. How do I change it back to showing me previews? I've checked if my 'show previews' settings are on and they are on both settings

Facebook is involved in this matter since the dot is showing on my Facebook icon.
