i just got a usb plug and adaptor for my Casio piano to connect to my iMac 24 inch
so far it’s sound pretty great. Unfortunately, I can’t press any software instruments in GarageBand in order to test out and record this instrument..
does anybody know how to fix this

The support article Play software instruments in GarageBand on Mac includes instructions for configuring a music keyboard for use with GarageBand after completing the steps in Connect a music keyboard to use with GarageBand on Mac and includes these notes on the topic:
"Be sure to follow the instructions that came with the keyboard, which may include installing the correct driver on your computer. Check the manufacturer’s website for the latest driver software. If you’re using a MIDI interface, be sure to follow the instructions that came with the interface."
