Swim time without wearing my watch in the water

My watch is not waterproof, how can I add my swim time and see it on my rings?

Hello BennyTeacher,

I see you're using an Apple Watch SE. I'm not sure which model you have specifically, but according to Apple Watch SE - Apple, "Apple Watch SE is water resistant 50 meters." Could you verify when you bought this Apple Watch?

You can still track swim exercise within your Health app.

  1. Open the Health app
  2. Tap on Browse in the bottom right
  3. Tap on Activity (should be the first section)
  4. Scroll to the bottom, and you should see a Swimming Distance / Swimming Strokes tab.

You can also add these to your favorites so they appear on the Health app's home page.

I don't believe this will add to your exercise minutes and therefore not add it to your rings, but you'll still be able to track it!

I hope this helps!
