I’ve iPhone 12 and only the WhatsApp calls are not ringing. All other calls including the FaceTime are ringing. I’ve tried everything including uninstalling the app, changing settings, and restoring the iPhone. The calls ring when in using the Whatsapp app but doesn’t ring after I’ve exited. This is really annoying. Pls help!

This happened to me after latest iPhone update, unable to get any calls from WhatsApp unless I was logged in to WhatsApp.
The problem is low power mode and background refresh. Switch off low power mode in iPhone settings, make sure background app refresh for WhatsApp is set to on. And for some reason I also had to switch off reaction notifications in WhatsApp settings.

Check to see if the Chat is archived. If it is, got to Archived and unarchive it.

Thank you for reviewing my issue. I know WhatsApp is not an Apple product. I’m hoping someone who might have faced the similar issue in the past can point out how it was solved. I’ve already contacted Whatsapp with no success including reinstalling the app and restoring the phone.
I am having the same issue. I have 12 pro max. I tried everything that was mentioned in the thread by the community members. Nothing seems to work. Please suggest if anything other than what is suggested in the thread worked for you.

I had this problem and to fix it I went to SETTINGS > NOTIFICATIONS > WHATSAPP > NOTIFICATION GROUPING
and changed it from "By App" to "Automatic".
