Mail - InBox - Symbol ?

Hi

Model and OS : IPhone XR iSO 16.1.1

I have noticed that in my Mail InBox, certain emails have a symbol alongside the Header.

This is in the top right hand corner of the header and comprises of a red circle with a diagonal red line passing through it from top right to bottom left. ( reminiscent of a Stop Sign ).

Can anyone suggest what this signifies. Looking at the sender they all look like Spam

Thanks for that. I do try to capture Spam by blocking senders and logically that’s what the symbol is telling me.

Ideally I wouldn’t want to see these in my InBox and have the OS recognise they are blocked transfer them into a Spam or Deleted folder.

If I were in my laptop, in Outlook, I could write a rule that moves them in a designated folder but not sure if that possible with the native email client in iOS.

Thanks for your response
