I'm not sure exactly what you mean by sync the two platforms, so I'm going to say no. You can create inbox rules on Gmail that will forward any emails received to iCloud and vice versa. You can also sync your Google Calendar to the Calendar app so all events will appear in the Calendar app on iPhone.
