Removing Recovery Contacts

What if your Apple ID account shows 2 recovery contacts and you didn’t add them but the phone shows you don’t have any? How do you get them out of there if they aren’t showing on the phone?

They should be the same wherver you look at them unless you are using multiple Apple accounts. The contacts are for your account, not for any device in particular.

How to remove another person as a Recovery Contact

The first part of doing this is similar to adding a contact as described in Help a friend or family member as their account recovery contact - Apple Support

1. Go to Settings

2. Select Password & Security

3. Select Account Recovery or Recovery Assistance

4. Select a person

5. Select 'Remove Contact'
