Cannot log in to i Cloud. Always shows "invalid password". Have reset new password many times; still shows as "invalid". Keeps offering to set up new password. How do I clear this up?

Cannot log in to i cloud. Always shows "invalid password". I have changed it many times but still shows "invalid".

Is my Apple id pw same as i cloud pw?
