I was working with my Apple Pencil 2 and it suddenly stopped working. I tried the following fixes but it still doesn’t work:
The issue here is that the pencil shows connected in Bluetooth section when it is attached to the iPad, but gets disconnected when I detach the pencil.

If the Apple Pencil is not staying connected, you can try unpairing and re-pairing it with the iPad. Go to Settings > Bluetooth, find the Apple Pencil in the device list and select the Info button next to it. Then select Forget this Device.
Once it's removed, just connect the Apple Pencil to re-pair it.

If it still won't stay connected, you'll want to contact Apple for available service options: Get Support
