When I want to find out about new application updates in the app store and then click on my name at the top, scroll down and can't find new updates for a while. I realized that there is some kind of bug, because if I actively click on an application in the store, then the option to update appears. What to do? Do I have to go through each of the apps to find out if there is an update?

I’m on iOS 17.5.1 and this just happened to me. Going into Settings -> App Store and toggling App Updates on and off fixed the issue for me.
What also might work is pulling down the screen where you expect to see the updates.
You might see the spinning wheel first and after that the list of apps to be updated again.
I’m having the same issue. What I found that works for me is if you go into settings click “App Store” and under “Automatic Downloads” turn on then turn off “App Downloads” and “App Updates”(or leave em on. I prefer to have em off). Hope that helps:)
This affects people that have multiple accounts on their iOS and iPadOS devices. People that only have their Apple ID on a device won’t see this issue. It’s ridiculous and another example of how horrible Apple’s support is for multiple users on one device (see TvOS as well).
Just updated to iOS 17.6.1 and this bug hit me again. The same workaround works. Rather disappointed that Apple still has not fixed this issue.
This has worked for me.
It was showing 5 updates available but when I have pulled down screen and allowed to check, count has become 40 updates available from 5 updates.
This answer is false. I have a device WITH ONLY ONE ACCOUNT and the updates DO NOT appear in the App Store. The problem just started recently and is ongoing. Please have verication of an answer like this BEFORE it is posted.

It's not that I don't know how to update. But simply the updates do not appear unless you actively enter each application and check if it has an update.
Same issue!!!! The entire ios is full of bugs now 😡😡😡😡
All that did was bring me to the account page. Not showing which apps have updates
This does nothing for those that have more than one account on a device, such as a teenagers iPad that a parent is trying to update.
