Apple Watch Ultra step count total accuracy

Does Apple Watch Ultra step count total reflect the steps recorded by my iPhone when my watch is charging or stationary? IOW am I able to look at my steps on my watch and know how many steps I've taken even if many of those were taken on my walking desk treadmill with my phone in my pocket?

Hello russbc182,

Yes, if your Apple Watch is off you iPhone will track you steps. Obviously when they're together only one device is tracking. In the Health app you can look at your Steps and tap on Show All Data. Click on a specific date and it'll tell you what steps were added when and from what devices (iPhone vs Apple Watch). I hope this answers your question!
