airpod pro external case

I’m looking for a carrying case (xcase) for my airpod pro. I bought a fairly generic but highly rated one and it seemed to have a good fit. The xcase comes in 2 parts. The AirPod case goes into the bottom part and then the top half is fitted on top. There is a lock mechanism that holds the top part to the bottom part when the xcase is closed. However when the xcase is opened, only thing holding the top xcase to the AirPod is friction. And there’s the rub, the top part of the xcase keeps falling off since there is nothing holding the top part of the xcase to the actual airpod case.

in searching for a xcase that won’t separate when open, I can’t find anything in the description that tells me if the design is such that the xcase will not separate when opened.

Can anybody recommend any xcase that won’t separate, at least not easily?
