iPhone locked up after giving it to my daughter after I got a new iPhone.

I gave my phone to my daughter when I got a new one. My daughter lives out of state. Daughter tried using my Apple ID to sign in but phone is locked up. Phone isn’t able to connect to cell or wifi. When I set up my new phone I forgot to erase it. Any ideas on how to get it working?
