My Bluetooth Magic Mouse is tracking on the wrong computer. The two computers are about 10 feet apart. How can I control which computer the mouse is controlling?

Basically you have to remove the mouse from System Preferences > Bluetooth settings from the computer you don't want it to connect to.

Just turn off bluetooth of second computer, you don't want to work on.

Thanks to both of you -- of course, the real problem is that I have two computers, each with a Magic mouse. One is my wife's, the other is mine. Radio controlled planes have a mechanism for using separate frequencies to avoid this collision (!), but I guess BT doesn't. I think my two solutions are 1) buy a USB or non-BT mouse or 2) move to another room farther away.

You're welcome. I have to say I have three Macs in the same room but the Magic Mice only connect to the particular Mac it is paired with. Two of them are on the same desk just over 12" apart.
Maybe I'm missing something about "pairing" that I need to know. How do I assign a particular mouse to a particular computer? That would solve my problem.

Yes, the Help file seems to resolve the issue. I'll have to see what happens when I power off / power on
the computer.
