why isn't my apple id password working when I type it in the system settings? I need to make some changes to my settings like turning on the screen recording for Zoom but it asks me to put in my password. I know I am putting in the correct password but it doesn't work. I have no idea how to fix this problem.

If your Mac is requesting your password for system changes, it's more likely that it's requesting your computer's administrator password; rather than your Apple ID password. That would be the password that is used to log into your Mac after restarting it.
