I bought a 20w usb-c adapter couple of months ago. Is there a way to see the serial number of this adapter by the order number? I know where to see on the adapter what I need is a prove that I ordered that adapter because someone stole from me.

No one here (we are not Apple employees), nor Apple keeps track of these adapters by serial number.

Check your eMails for a receipt from Apple: it may list a serial number.
If you still have the packaging ... check that for the serial number.

It can't be done. The serial number cannot be used to determine the authenticity of a charger.

Ultimately though, if you bought it directly from an Apple Authorized Retailer, you've got nothing to worry about.
