One airpod pro has lost effectiveness of noice cancellation and transparency mode does not work

When placing the airpods in transparency mode only works on the right airpod and the other is as if there is no mode on at all, then switching over to noise cancellation it is much less effective than the right airpod

Your iPhone (or Mac or device) may need updating to the latest compatible iOS version.

Eg: For iPhone: About iOS 16 Updates - Apple Support (says iOS 16.5 is the latest)

(The firmware on the AirPods updates automatically when paired).


Make sure nothing (a speck of dirt or wax) is blocking the microphone and speaker
