Connection monitor using Anker Powerline II USB C cable with Macbook Air (M1)

Hello,

I am trying to connect a Asus VA24DCP monitor to a Macbook Air (M1) using an Anker Anker Powerline II USB-C to USB-C cable. I do not get any signal on my Asus monitor when I connect the two.

My understanding is that it should be able to transfer video between the two devices as well as charge the Air. Is there something I am doing wrong or should do differently?

For reference, an HDMI cable into an apple adapter works fine, but would prefer a more all in one solution.
