Newest update has changed my wallpaper settings…

I got an update the other day where my text underneath my app icons turned from white black.

I found out from another thread that by switching out wallpapers will revert it back to normal.

I did this, and it worked, however…

Now my wallpaper appears a lot brighter than it was before.

The option to toggle on/off the “Dark Appearance Dims Wallpaper” is no longer under “Wallpaper” in “Settings”.

Im pretty sure I have dark appearance in (that was my default setting) and I can’t figure how to get back to that.

anyone else have this issue or know what to do?

Hi ChiBPony,

Thanks for posting here in Apple Support Communities. Have you tried restarting your iPhone since noticing this behavior? Doing so may help to address the issue you're facing. Let's have you try using a different wallpaper to see if the option appears for you to dim the wallpaper in settings: Change the wallpaper on your iPhone - Apple Support

Kind regards.
