Adjusting sound quality from AirPod 3rd Gen

I have just purchased the 3rd Gen Airpods. I would like to change the frequency distribution of the sound emitted to suit my hearing. Ideally, I would like an equaliser that works only with the Airpods. I do not want to alter the sound of Apple Music since I stream it at the highest quality through my HiFi set-up. If I use the EQ in Settings>Music>EQ, this changes (and ruins) the streamed output to my HiFi. So I just want to change the sound emitted from the Airpods. Any suggestions please?

iPhone SE, iOS 15

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities AAAnicholas,

From your iPhone, you can make adjustments to settings specific to your AirPods to customize them to your preference.

1: Go to Settings  > Accessibility > AirPods.
2: If you have multiple AirPods, select one.
3: Set any of the following options:
* Press Speed: Adjust how quickly you must press two or three times before an action occurs.
* Press and Hold Duration: Adjust the duration required to press and hold on your AirPods.
* Noise Cancellation with One AirPod: (AirPods Pro) Turn on noise cancellation even when you’re using only one of your AirPods.
* Spatial Audio Head Tracking: (AirPods (3rd generation), AirPods Pro, and AirPods Max) When you turn on Follow iPhone, the audio adjusts based on your head movement (for supported audio and video content).
4: To customize your audio, tap Audio Accessibility Settings.
