Apple TV 4K remote not pairing

Having just wasted hours crawling the web and with phone support after not being able to pair my replacement remote with the gen 2 4K, it suddenly occurred to me that the gen 1 4K nearby might be interfering with the pairing process. Bingo. Unplugged the old 4K and the remote paired almost instantly with the desired Apple TV.

Apple TV won't connect to remote My latest version Apple TV stopped working with the remote. It wants to re-pair with it. So, I charged it, and set the remote on top of the Apple TV. It never recognizes the remote. I bought a new remote thinking the remote was bad. I charged the new remote, set it on top of the Apple TV (since it's still asking to pair with the remote), but it still never finds the remote. How do I get this fixed?
