OK, so it’s a brand new account. Please don’t take offense but for the first 30 days, you’re a new customer. New Customer High Yield Savings Accounts (HYSA) are restricted because of banking regulations. This is to prevent money laundering, terrorist activities etc. I’m not trying to make accusations, just present some information.

During the first 30 days transfers take up to five business days. Transfers after 9:30 AM ET will transfer next business day. So, not sure what time you requested a transfer, but you could be caught in the fifth business is a weekend and availability is not until them next day.

High Yield Savings Accounts (HYSA) are intended for the accumulation of wealth and regulated differently than regular savings account. They typically lack many of the conveniences of regular savings accounts. Conveniences such as bill pay, instant transfers etc. are not a part of HYSA.

Apple Savings does permit fee free transfers to Apple Cash, which may then be used to transfer to a verified account. Transfer to Apple Cash are limited to $10,000 in a single transfer and no more than $20,000 in any 7 day rolling period.

Clearing your bank is mostly irrelevant. There are federal banking regulations that all banks/financial institutions need to comply with.

When did you open the account?

How much are you trying to transfer?

How many days has it been in your account?

Did you verify the account your transferring funds to and if so, how?

Did you know that a High Yield Savings Account (HYSA) like Apple Savings is for the accumulation of wealth and not usually the most convenient way to transfer funds? Many accounts will charge fees, have limits on transfers and not have conveniences available like auto payments, bill pay etc.
