Why does find my always open to the same friend’s location?

Could you please confirm what device this's happening on and if it's fully up to date?

If you're using an iPhone or iPad: Update your iPhone or iPad

If you're using a Mac: Update macOS on Mac

Does this always seem to zoom in on the same friend or does it seem to vary? If it varies, does it look like this person has the most recent movement recorded in Find My?

Do you have multiple devices that are set up with Find My? If so, does this happen on all of them?

This info can help narrow down what may be happening.

Are you following their location as listed below:

Find people and share your location with Find My

Follow a friend's shared location

If someone shares their location with you or you request their location and they agree to share it, you can then follow their location.

Ask to follow someone's location

To start following another person, you need to first share your location with them. Then follow these steps:

1. Open the Find My app and select the People tab.

2. Select the person that you shared your location with.

3. Scroll down and choose Ask To Follow Location.
