I just found my iPod and it still works! but I don't remember how to turn it off and on. I have tried pressing and holding the button in the center of the dial, but nothing happens.
Does anyone knows how to turn it off and on? Of course it turns on, and it works and sounds great! But I can't find a way to turn it off.
Are you sure the device is functional - when is the last time you know that it was actually turned on?
Make sure it is connected to power/has a charge, and then by pressing any button, the device should power on. To turn it off, hold the play/pause button for around 10 seconds (I belive).
If the device still doesn't turn on, the device may no longer be functional due to its age etc.

Yes, it still works great! it plays music and the sound is awesome.
As I said, I can turn it on, but can't turn it off. I will try your advice, and will let you know .

I pressed and hold the play/pause button y the screen went black!
I was doing it wrong, I was pressing the button in the center of the control dial.
