Please Apple, DO NOT MAKE ME UPDATE TO VENTURA

From what I have heard on podcasts and read online, Ventura is Apple's Vista - a buggy OS that nobody asked for.

I do not want to install it. At all. Life is too short to deal with such hassles.

So, how can I stop the Updater from bugging me every week or two?

You really need a button that says - "I'll skip this one", let me know when there is a major upgrade to consider.

(I have been using a Macintosh since summer 1984.)

Maybe you should stop paying attention to what others have to say in podcasts and online. I would have Ventura installed in all seven of my Macs if they all were compatible. Did you try disabling the settings in System Preferences > Software Update > Advanced…?

I have spent the better part of the day just preparing to attempt to downgrade to Monterey. After two week of dealing with System Settings problems (in a number of different categories), Finder crashes, Time Machines issues.. and ten of hours on the phone with very good Senior Support folks, I feel I have really no choice.

I have the last iMac 27" Intel i9 10 Core (3.6) that Apple released. It has been rock solid UNTIL I installed Ventura. I have waited patch-to-patch to see if these issues have been fixed...but no.

This will be the first time I have downgraded since Mac OSx has been released.
