I made an Apple ID With my school email and now I can't log out.

At the start of this year, I received a new MacBook Air and decided to make my own Apple ID, as I had been sharing one for quite some time. I used my school email in order to make an account, but after making it I was not able to access my Apple ID settings. I checked to see if any apps would share the same problem, and whilst I haven't checked all of my apps, the only one that stopped me from doing anything was the app store. I am unsure as to why I am unable to log out but if anyone knows anything I could try, letting me know would be greatly appreciated.
